NEWS: Message from Mark in St Johann, Austria

On the 12 of August Mark Bowden (Founder of Bike Ride) left for St Johann in Austria to compete in the World Time Trial Championships. Click here for more information about the event a web cam of the start / finish line!

Mark has settled in to St. Johann in Tyrol (check out these great web cam pics of St Johann) and is adjusting to the time difference - although it probably hasn't helped that we've called him on the phone at 5am Austrian time a couple of times (he probably should have been up training anyway...)!

Mark has been putting in a lot of training on his Cervelo P3 Time Trial bike. A seriously quick Time Trial speed machine.

In 2002 Mark won the World Masters Games 85k Road race. Preparing for an event at this level requires a lot of dedication and team support.

We've added a Google map so you can see where his training base is located and we'll be posting more news as we head into the final days of preparation before the race.

If you want to send Mark some words of support / encouragement you can send him an e-mail by clicking here
